PBIS presents Rock Paper Scissors Royale! The tournament is coming this Thursday (Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade) and Friday (3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade). Students can pay 1$ to enter the tournament. There will be practice rounds before the tournament begins. The top three finalists will earn a reward from the PBIS store.

Attendance March Madness is officially set! Shoutout to the classes who landed a first-round BYE in the tournament for having the highest attendance percentage this week. The winning class of the tournament will get a pizza party and the teacher will win a surprise. We are striving for good attendance in March in preparation for our final diagnostics and the Ga Milestones! We will update the bracket with the results at the end of each week. Pre-sale of Tickets for the Family Valentine's Day Dance go on sale Monday, February 3. Get your tickets early. The dance is on Friday, February 7, 5-7 pm.
Due to extremely low temperatures and expected wind chills in the single digits and/or possibly approaching 0 degrees, Murray County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday, January 22.
The combination of extremely low temperatures and wind chill poses significant challenges, particularly for children waiting outside for buses as well as the loading and unloading of our special needs buses. These temperatures may also present challenges that affect bus operations and building maintenance.
Important School Closure Announcement from the Central Office:
Due to the icy conditions on many of our county's backroads and neighborhoods, and with nearly 20 bus routes deemed dangerous, we have made the decision to close all schools tomorrow to ensure the safety of our students, bus drivers, and staff. Keeping safety as our top priority, we want to prevent any risks associated with traveling in these hazardous conditions.
We are expecting warmer weather tomorrow and will monitor the situation closely. We will provide an update regarding the status of schools on Tuesday as soon as possible.
For those involved in after-school activities and extracurricular events, coaches and staff will communicate any changes or updates directly.
